Romford racer Aaron Thompson left Snetterton on Sunday evening with the maximum haul of points possible – a total of 64.

This figure accrued with Aaron having been on pole for both races, then winning both while also setting the fastest lap in each. Aaron now has a 16 point advantage over Michael Higgs.

Michael made sure that he stays within touching distance of the leader by securing second in each outing. Ronan Quinn had a weekend that he won’t forget in a hurry – the Leicestershire based driver scored his first ever podium finish in Sunday’s first race and then ensured that the podium was repeated in the second.

Sunday’s second race had to be re-started after a long delay following a first lap incident which saw Carlito Mirraco suffer a high speed impact with the Armco. The good news is that although suffering from some heavy bruising, Carlito was discharged by the Snett Medical Centre and he is raring to get back in the saddle at Castle Combe later this month.

All the practice, qualifying, race results and lap analysis can be found at FJC results

The Castle Combe meeting takes place over the weekend of 18/19th July and more details can be found at http://www.brscc.co.uk/CASTLE-COMBE---BRSCC-RACE-WEEKEND-09-04-16

A more detailed report of the weekend on the Snetterton 200 circuit will appear here shortly.
