Castle Combe debut for FJC

Eight down – eight to go! The second half of the FJC season starts at Castle Combe in what is the Championship’s first ever visit to the popular Wiltshire circuit.
Romford racer Aaron Thompson sits on top of the pile following back to back wins on the Snetterton 200 circuit three weeks ago. Aaron now has a 16 point advantage over Michael Higgs, who made sure that he stayed within touching distance of the leader by securing second in each Snetterton outing.
Ronan Quinn had a weekend that he won’t forget in a hurry – the Leicestershire based driver scored his first ever podium finish in Sunday’s first race and then ensured that the podium was repeated in the second. Ronan will be determined to build on that breakthrough this weekend.
It’s good to see Carlito Mirraco on the entry list after his accident at Snett. Carlito had a high speed impact with the Armco in the second race in Norfolk and suffered some heavy bruising but has been declared fit to race this weekend.
We have a season’s best turnout at Combe with twelve drivers entered. A very warm welcome to Ben Swift who joins us for his FJC debut. Ben is 14 years old and comes from Tenterden in Kent.
The full entry list is
5 Ben Swift
7 Cameron Pugh
15 Sikandar Hussain
20 Ronan Quinn
21 Nathan Edwards
22 Elliot Wilson

The weather looks set fair for both days with the forecast predicting warm, dry and sunny weather, particularly on Sunday. You can see a detailed forecast at Combe weather
Meanwhile, the Finals, timetable and entry lists for what is a very busy meeting can be found at Castle Combe Race Weekend.
