While Jack Davidson was the man to beat at Silverstone, he wasn't the main subject of conversation in the FJC paddock. Olivia Humphrey caught up with "Driver of the Weekend" Lochlan Bearman after his supreme Race 2 drive from 14th to 2nd place!

You put in a very impressive performance during race 2 at Silverstone, what do you think that was down to?
I just kept my head down and never looked back! Jam-Sport also gave me a great car and I can’t thank them enough.

So, a positive result presumably for the whole team, do you think you can this performance into Rockingham?
I hope we can show our pace at Rockingham and I am hoping for wins this year. We have got the skill and speed to do well, and I think we proved that in Race 2.

After this result how are you your hopes for the championship looking?
They are looking promising I feel. We struggled with luck last year and this year is slowly getting better so I fancy my chances for the title this season.

Lochlan now heads to Rockingham this weekend with 3 podiums under his belt and given the pace he showed overall at Silverstone, you could be wise to put a bet on him as an outside shot of a race win. Will it come this weekend? Only time will tell.
